Scotch® Box Sealing Tape 355 offers the highest edge tear and split resistance in 3M’s line of polyester backed box sealing tapes. It uses a rubber resin adhesive on a polyester backing that is resistant to abrasion, moisture and scuffing.

To ensure Scotch® Box Sealing Tape 355 would stand up to demanding packaging applications, design engineers combined a thick biaxially oriented polyester backing with a hot melt synthetic rubber resin adhesive to create a tape with high adhesion, tensile strength, and elongation at break. It complies with environmental considerations of ASTM D1974-92 and meets CID A-A-1684B and ASTM D5486 Type III. This tape is water-resistant per ASTM D5570.
